Business and Personal Headshots
In a world where people often Google you and check your personal profiles before meeting you, your personal brand is often your first impression.
Personal branding is the intentional process of shaping how others perceive you based on your unique combination of skills, experience, personality, and values. It’s the image and reputation you build for yourself, especially in professional or creative industries, through the way you present yourself both online and offline.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, artist, freelancer, actor, executive, or job seeker, a strong personal brand headshot can:
- Build trust and relatability
- Communicate professionalism or creativity
- Help you stand out in a crowded market
- Open doors to new opportunities
Portrait vs Headshot: Is there a difference?
Portrait
A portrait is a picture that includes your face and a section of your body. How much of your body and how you pose will depend on the intended use and personal preference. While there are best practices for cropping, it is very flexible and fluid; and will range from upper torso to full body. A portrait can be formal and serious or creative and fun. The options are limitless and usually driven by the message you’re trying to convey.
Headshot
A headshot is a sub-category of portraits, but just because your head is in the picture doesn’t mean it’s a headshot. A headshot is intended to focus on your face, with minimal distractions. Usually cropped from just below the shoulders or upper chest to the top of your head, and looking straight at the camera. Personal preference can change the look, like color background, lighting, cropping below the top of the head or bottom of the chin, but always focused on the face.

Dating Profiles
In a world where most dating profiles are full of blurry selfies, group photos, or random snapshots, getting professional dating profile headshots can be a very smart move, if done right. They need to feel natural and authentic. If the photos look too posed, overly edited, or like corporate headshots, it can backfire. That’s why I offer casual lifestyle headshots specifically designed for dating profiles.

I capture a relaxed and confident version of you with natural expressions by making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and bring out your authentic personality. The photos look spontaneous and real yet thoughtfully done. I use flattering light and composition to bring out your best features. The goal isn’t to make you look “glamorous,” but to look happy, confident and approachable.

Lifestyle images for your dating profile can capture your personality. Whether it’s adventurous, creative, chill, elegant, playful, or bold, they help potential matches feel like they’re already getting to know you beyond just your looks. They can spark curiosity and act as ice breakers (“Where was that photo taken?” “You play guitar?” “That dog is adorable!”)
